Studio Rental Space Now Available!

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes….

This has not been an easy year at the studio, and the next one isn’t looking like it’s going to smooth out anytime soon. Due to the new economic situation we all find ourselves in there are changes that are necessary here at the Adelhardt’s Pottery and Prints. The rent has increased considerably recently and the tariffs are defiantly hitting ceramics. With a little work and help from or friends maybe we will need shades for a bright future and not become one of the 98 luftbaloons (there was one left in the end)… Ok enough of the GenX flashbacks.

My plan is to move the studio toward to a more co-op or shared studio space. This was in fact my long term goal. I had hoped for this to evolve more organically, however we have to live in the time we do rather than the time we want. As things are today my timeline needs to be stepped up a bit if I want to keep the doors open.

My idea is to find 4 to 5 members. The members would have 24 hour access to the workspace, including tools, glazes and use of the kiln. They would also have space in the gallery to sell and their work. There is ample parking and considerable foot traffic. If you have not visited, the shop it is in a small shopping center with a variety of businesses including Lazy Day Cafe at one end and Antica Sicili on the other. The cost would be about $550 each. As a group we may be able to bring the cost down through the gallery, including more members, community projects, or other ideas you may have that I haven’t thought of. How we move forward would be up to us as a group. I am not trying to get rich here, just trying to pay the bills and keep the doors open.

As I said, this is just an idea and my goal is to move toward something more like a co-op so if that is a bit out of your budget and you have other ideas I would be glad to hear them. You can send a message though the form below or stop by and tell me what you have in mind. The main goal at the moment is to pay the bills every month.

My hope is that we will develop as community to encourage and help each other to become better crafts people and artists. While this space is primarily set up for ceramics other disciplines are welcome if you think the space is suitable for your needs.

For Something Positive!

The Sites Communication is Working Again.

And A Phone Number

When last checked Messaging, Newsletter, and Scheduling was working. Probably best to call the to make sure for a bit but so far so good with the new host.

APnP now has a new host for this site here GreenGeeks. Not only is it working MUCH better, (that is when I have sent a test message I got the test message… so far) GreenGeeks is ranked the most committed to environmental sustainability as well as continuing its commitment to DEI. (LINK TO ENVIRONMENTAL STATMENT) Due to their investment in solar and wind power production they are ‘300% green, for every dollar of energy they use they return 3.

They also have a very generous referral program, so if you are looking for a new host your self please help out the studio and help us out too. Message or text 801.930.0226 your contact info and I will sit get you a link.
