Make Something

The Make Something class, is quite versatile. It can be a starting point to an in-depth study of ceramics, pottery, and/or sculpture. It can also be just a great way to spend a few hours playing in the mud and trying something new, while making something that can last forever (as long as you don’t break it).

Regardless of you’re goal, the class it self will begin with a tour of the studio, a short description/demo of different ceramic making methods, demo of hand building, then it’s time to ‘Make Something’ for your self.

For 1: $66.31 ea
For 2: $55.28 ea
For 3: $49.76 ea

Payment due at time of the class.

  1. Read everything on this page carefully.
  2. Choose what you would like to make (and let me know which one). Bellow are the options I have put together for you to choose from. These are just basic forms, you choose how to decorate, and finish them.
  3. Comfortable cloths you don’t mind might get a little messy. Nothing used here should leave permanent stains, but better safe than sorry.
  4. Refreshments of your choice. Normally I have water, tea, and black coffee, which you are welcome to.  so any drink (alcohol or non), or food you would like you are welcome to bring along.

Finishing Process: Unlike other arts or crafts, ceramics does not offer immediate gratification. The finishing process requires 2 trips to the kiln, surface treatment, and waiting for your project to get enough buddies to join them to fill the a kiln, then 2 firings. It can take 2 to 4 weeks for your piece to be ready to be picked up.

Curently there is only space for 3 people at a time to comfortably work in the studio at the same time. If you would like to have an exclusive class, (meaning only you and the people you sign up with) or if you would like to share the time with another person or people indicate this in the notes secton. If you select share and there is others that you can be paired with you will be charted at the 2 or 3 person rate.
